Ingredients

  • 3 onions, cut into rings
  • 200 ml oil
  • For batter:
  • 1 cup ( 100 gms ) - gram flour ( besan - kadala maav )
  • 1 tsp - rice flour
  • 50 ml + 1 tbsp - ( 65 ml - 75 ml ) water
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 pinches - hing ( asafoetida )
  • 1/2 tsp - finely chopped coriander leaves ( optional )
  • 1/2 tsp - salt ( or to taste )

How to Make Onion Rings Bajji

  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Reduce the heat to medium.
  • Dip each onion ring into gram flour batter and fry till golden colour and crisp on both the sides ( 8 rings at time ).
  • Serve hot with Tea - Coffee.
