Ingredients

  • 12 bread slices
  • 100 gms - butter
  • 2 big tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 2 big onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1.5 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - finely chopped coriander leaves
  • salt to taste

How to Make Onion Tomato Toast

  • Mix together chopped onions, tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, red chilli powder and salt.
  • Butter the bread slices.
  • In a equity toaster place a slice of bread, buttered side down.
  • In the centre, place 2 heaped tbsp of the onion-tomato mixture.
  • Place another slice on it, the buttered side on the top.
  • Toast till it is golden in colour.
  • Serve hot with any mango pickle or green chutney.
