  • sifted flour - 1 cup
  • baking powder - 1.5 tsp
  • salt - ½ tsp
  • egg yolks - 2
  • sunflower or corn oil - 2 tbsp
  • orange juice - 1/3 cup
  • grated orange rind - 1 tbsp
  • egg whites - 4
  • cream of tartar - ½ tsp

How to Make Orange Chiffon Cake

  • Sift flour sugar substitute, salt and Baking powder in a large bowl.
  • Make a well in the center and add egg yolk, oil and orange juice and rind.
  • Beat the mixture till smooth.
  • Beat the egg whites with cream of tartar till stiff and gently fold into the batter.
  • Pour the mixture into a chiffon cake mould.
  • Bake in a mode oven (170C) till the cake is done. (about 50 minutes)
  • Invert the cake on a wire rack and cool completely before turning out of the tin.
