Ingredients

  • 7 - pakoda
  • 1 - onion
  • 2 - tomatoes
  • small quantity - ginger
  • 3 flakes - garlic
  • 3 - green chillies
  • 1/2 cup - grated/Shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp - garam masala powder
  • small quantity - curry leaves
  • small quantity - coriander leaves
  • 2 - cashew nuts
  • 1 tsp - red chili powder
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp - cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying

How to Make Pakoda gravy

  • Make pakodas.
  • Cut onions and smash tomatoes in a mixie.
  • Make ginger-garlic paste after peeling off the skin.
  • Grind grated coconut, poppy seeds, green chillies, cumin seeds, cashew nuts and make them into a paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan/kadai, add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste and onions and fry them well.
  • Add tomatoes which are smashed, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, little salt and curry leaves and boil them for some 3 minutes.
  • Add coconut paste.
  • Finally add pakodas and garnish with coriander leaves.
