Ingredients

  • 1 cup - besan
  • 2 cups - palak, washed and chopped finely
  • 1/2 tsp - ajwain
  • 2 - tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar
  • water
  • salt
  • oil
  • For gravy:
  • 1 -onion
  • 1 -garlic
  • 1- ginger
  • 1 tsp - green chilli paste
  • 10 - cashew nuts
  • 1 pinch -garam masala
  • coriander
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • salt

How to Make Palak Besan

  • Knead besan, palak, ajwain, salt, oil and a little water.
  • Make rolls and boil them in water for 10 min. Drain the water and keep it for the gravy.
  • Cut the rolls into small rounds and fry them.
  • For gravy:
  • Take oil in the pan, add the paste and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add salt, sugar, tomatoes and fry again for 5 minutes.
  • Add the water kept aside and then boil for 2 minutes.
  • Add the fried besan rolls.
  • Gravy should be thick.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander and garam masala.
