Ingredients

  • For Bread Koftas:
  • 6 - Bread slices (soaked and squeezed)
  • 2 - Potatoes
  • 1 - Onions (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp - Mint leaves (chopped)
  • For Spinach Curry:
  • 1small bunch Spinach leaves
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 1 - Tomato (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seed powder
  • 3/4 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds

How to Make Palak Bread Kofta Curry

  • Heat oil, saute the chopped onions with salt and cook until onions turn translucent.
  • In a bowl, mixie bread slices, potatoes, sauteed onions, chopped green chillies and chopped mint leaves.
  • Meanwhile, heat the paniyaram pan with a few drops of oil.
  • Shape the mixture into round balls and drop gently into the paniyaram pan. Cook till both sides turn golden brown. Set aside.
  • Cook the cleaned and chopped spinach leaves with 1/2 cup water in microwave oven for 5 minutes on high.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil and saute the onions and tomato pieces till well done. Cool and grind along with cooked spinach to form a smooth paste.
  • Heat enough oil, splutter the cumin seeds, add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell leaves.
  • Add the ground paste with enough water, coriander powder, cumin seed powder, red chilli powder and salt. Cook on simmer for a few minute.
  • Then add the prepared bread koftas to the spinach gravy and cook again for a few minutes. Take off heat.
  • Serve hot with rotis.
