  • 1 bunch fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried mango (amchoor) powder
  • 1/2 tsp wheat flour
  • 2 pinches asafoetida powder
  • 1/2 tsp each mustard and cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

How to Make Palak ki Sabzi

  • Wash and drain spinach in a colander.
  • Heat oil in pan, add seeds and allow to splutter.
  • Add asafoetida and tomatoes and stir.
  • Add all spice powders, stir and cook for a minute.
  • Add spinach, cover and allow to soften.
  • Stir, add flour and simmer further for 2-3 mins.
  • Take off fire and serve hot with roti, puri or rice.
