Palak Paneer Stew is a nutritious combination of Spinach(Palak) and Paneer( Indian Cottage Cheese) flaovered in Indian spices- cumin, coriander, garam masala. This can be served as a Stew or as a Palak curry along with Rice and Phulkas. If you are combining this with continental cuisine, the Palak Paneer Stew can also make an interesting side dish to bread for vegetarians.   • 2 bundles Palak/Spinach
  • 200 gm - Paneer (cut into cubes)
  • 2 nos Onion (chopped) 5 - 6 nos - Garlic pods
  • 1/2 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 no Green chilly
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp - Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 2 nos Tomato chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 cup - Milk
  • 2 tbsp - Kasoori methi
  • 1 tbsp - Oil
  • Salt as require

How to Make Palak Paneer Stew

  • In a micro proof deep bowl, put oil, cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, green chillies, onion, 2 tsp coriander powder and garam masala powder. Mix well.
  • Microwave for 5 mins.
  • Remove and to the same bowl add tomatoes, cleaned palak, kasoori methi. Mix well & microwave for 8 mins.
  • Cool the palak and blend it with 1/2 cup water.
  • Put this palak puree into the same micro proof dish and add red chilli powder, paneer, salt, 1/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup water. Mix well and microwave for 5 mins.
  • Serve hot.
