Ingredients

  • 1 pound -frozen spinach
  • 1 cup- besan
  • a pinch - asafoetida powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - ajwain
  • 1/4 cup - water
  • 1 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 1 tsp -raw mango powder (amchur)

How to Make Palak Snack

  • Thaw spinach in microwave for 5 minutes.
  • Mix with besan, salt, asafoetida powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and water (the paste should be like the one for vadas ).
  • Make about 10 balls from the paste and put in microwavable dish. Heat for 5 minutes.
  • Cool for about 5 minutes after taking out of microwave. In a pan heat oil and add ajwain to it.
  • Put the balls in the oil and cook on slow fire for about 2 minutes. Garnish with amchoor powder and serve with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
