  • 1 tsp - butter
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • pinch - asafoetida
  • 2 to 3 - dried whole red chillies
  • turmeric powder
  • red chilli powder
  • coriander powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup - boiled vegetables (cauliflower, potatoes, peas, capsicum)
  • 1/2 litre - yoghurt (beat it gently)
  • coriander leaves, finely chopped

How to Make Palda

  • Heat butter.
  • Add cumin seeds, asafetida, dried red chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt.
  • Add the vegetables and the yoghurt.
  • Reduce the flame, keep stirring slowly for 2 mins. remove from heat.
  • Do not allow it to boil. Garnish with coriander leaves.
