Ingredients

  • 200 g - paneer
  • 50 g - gram flour
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 pinch - soda bicarbonate
  • Salt
  • For chutney:
  • 1/2 cup - coconuts, grated
  • 6 flakes - garlic
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 1/2 inch piece - ginger
  • A handful of mint leaves
  • 1 cup - coriander leaves
  • A handful of curry leaves
  • 1 - onion, big
  • 1 tbsp - lime juice
  • Salt
  • Chilli powder

How to Make Paneer Bhajiya

  • Grind all the chutney ingredients together.
  • Mix flour with turmeric powder, soda, cumin seeds and salt.
  • Add enough water to form a thick batter.
  • Cut paneer lengthwise into two pieces. Then into small squares.
  • Sandwich two squares together with chutney.
  • Dip the chutney filled squares in the batter and deep fry to a golden colour.
  • Serve with ketchup.
