  • 1 tbsp - wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp - fresh curd
  • 1/2 tbsp - cooked rice
  • 2 pinches red chilli powder(optional)
  • 3 pinches cumin powder
  • salt to taste

How to Make Pareb

  • Take rice in a clean pan.
  • Add curd and flour.
  • Beat well with a fork.
  • Add 1-1/2 cups water.
  • Add salt, chilli powder and mix well.
  • Cook while stirring continuously.
  • When in starts boiling, simmer for 5 mins.
  • Sprinkle cumin powder and mix.
  • Stir occasionally. It should be smooth and thick with grains of whole rice.
  • Serve porridge warm to kids and steaming hot to adult patients.
