Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup - toovar dal.
  • 1/4 cup - urad dal.
  • 1/2 cup - channa dal.
  • 1 tbsp - grated coconut.
  • 3-4 - green chillies.
  • 2 - red chilli.
  • 1 - pinch hing.
  • 4-5 - curry leaves.
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder.
  • 1/4 tsp - garam masala.
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice.
  • 1 - garlic cloves.
  • 3 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves.
  • salt as per taste.
  • oil for deep frying.

How to Make Pauppu Vadai

  • Wash and soak all dals for 3 hours. Grind them into a fine paste with green chillies, red chillies, curry leaves and garlic.
  • Then add all the remaining ingredients except oil for deep frying.
  • Make small vadas of the mixture and flatten it slightly.
  • Deep fry the vadas till they turn golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
