Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanuts, soaked in water, boiled.
  • 1 cup rice, cooked.
  • 1 tbsp - tamarind paste.
  • 1 onion, chopped.
  • 1 tbsp - garam masala powder.
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp - sesame seeds.
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds.
  • 3 tbsp - oil.
  • 1 cup - coconut, grated.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Peanut rice

  • Heat a pan. Add sesame seeds.
  • When they pop, add oil.
  • Add mustard seeds. Add onion. Brown.
  • Add tamarind paste and powdered spices.
  • Add peanuts, rice and salt to taste.
  • Stir till blended and heat through. Serve hot.
