Ingredients

  • 2 cups - basmati rice.
  • 4 cups - water.
  • 1 - onion, chopped.
  • 1 capsicum - remove seeds and cut into thin strips.
  • 10 cloves - garlic, chopped fine.
  • 1/2 cup - shelled peas.
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp - garam masala.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Peas rice

  • Wash and soak rice in water for 15 mins in a cooker.
  • Heat oil and fry the garlic and onions till brown and add this to the rice in the cooker.
  • Add the shelled peas, salt, garam masala and chilli powder.
  • Mix gently and cook till rice is done.
  • Serve the rice with fried capsicum strips and finely chopped fried carrots.
