Ingredients

  • Peerkankai (ridge gourd) - 2 (medium size).
  • Tamarind - 1/2 tsp.
  • green chillies - 8 to 10.
  • Coconut - 3 tsps.
  • oil - 2 tsps.

How to Make Peerkankai Thokayal

  • Remove the outer skin of peerkankai. Cut into small pieces and fry in a kadai with a little oil until cooked.
  • Put the peerkankai, tamarind, coconut and chillies in mixie and grind finely.
  • Add required amount of salt now.
  • Add a little heated oil before serving with hot rice or roti.
