Ingredients

  • 1 cup - besan
  • 1 cup - rice flour
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 2 green pepper
  • Sugar and salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - eno fruit salt
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • To Garnish:
  • Cilantro (finely chopped)
  • Fresh grated coconut
  • Oil and mustard seasoning

How to Make Plain Dhokla

  • Mix besan and rice flour together. And turmeric powder, salt and sugar.
  • Blend ginger and garlic to a paste and add to the flour mixture.
  • Add water to form a batter.
  • Boil water in the cooker.
  • Grease a container with a drop of oil pour the batter and now add 1 tsp Eno fruit salt.
  • Close the lid of the cooker.
  • Remove the top weight of the cooker. Pressure cook for ten minutes.
  • Cool it and garnish with Cilantro, fresh coconut.
  • Sprinkle oil and mustard seasoning on the top. Serve hot with chutney.
