  • 2 -potatoes
  • 1 tsp - powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp - crushed red pepper
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - lime juice
  • 2 - red bell peppers
  • 1 bunch - spring onions
  • 4 tsp - soy sauce
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Plain Indonesian Potatoes

  • Peel and chop potatoes into wedges.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the potatoes along with some salt, until they turn golden brown.
  • Drain and reserve.
  • Finely Chop spring onions and the red bell pepper into thin strips.
  • In another kadai, heat 2-3 tsp oil.
  • Saute spring onions and bell peppers until tender.
  • Add the fried potatoes and saute for a minute or two.
  • Add rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  • Remove from stove, add lemon juice and serve hot with rice.
  • It can also be served as an evening snack.
