Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rava (sooji)
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 cup - milk
  • 1.5 cups - water
  • 1tbsp - ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/4 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 1/4 tsp - saffron / kesari
  • 2 tbsp - raisins chopped
  • 1 tbsp - chopped cashews

How to Make Plain Kesari Bath

  • Heat ghee in a pan, add raisins, fry and then keep aside.
  • In the remaining ghee, add water, milk, sugar, saffron/ kesari and cardamom powder to a vessel and bring it to a boil.
  • Add the roasted rava little by little to the water stirring continuously.
  • Garnish kesari bath with raisins and cashews.
  • Serve hot.
