Ingredients

  • 1 cup - semolina (suji)
  • 1 cup - curd
  • 1 tsp - carom seeds
  • salt to taste
  • cabbage (shredded), carrots (shredded), capsicum (diced), onions (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp - soy sauce
  • 4-5 tbsp - tomato sauce
  • lemon juice
  • eno salt

How to Make Plain Masala Idli

  • Mix suji and curd to make a batter.
  • Add water so that the batter becomes a little flowy.
  • Add salt, ajwain and eno.
  • Grease idli stand and pour the batter to make idlis
  • Microwave for 4 mins, remove the idlis and cut them in half
  • In a kadhai, heat oil and add onions and other vegetables
  • Cook for 5 mins and add sauces, lemon juice
  • Add idlis and mix. Serve hot with green chutney.
