  • 1 big broccoli, chopped into medium size florets
  • 2 big onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp - Cuminutes/jeera
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder/haldi
  • 1 tsp - chilli/mirchi powder
  • salt to taste

How to Make Plain n Simple broccoli fry

  • Heat oil in a thick-bottom kadai.
  • Add jeera. When it splutters, add onions.
  • Saute till onions turn pink in colour.
  • Add haldi and stir for a minute.
  • Add broccoli and mix well.
  • Lower flame and cover the kadai and allow it to cook for 10 minutes.
  • Keep stirring for every 4 minutes.
  • When done, add salt and mirchi powder and stir well.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes more.
  • Remove and serve hot with chapatti or phulka.
