Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1/2 kg
  • Onion - 1
  • tomato - 1
  • pepper corn - 1 tbsp.
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece.
  • Garlic - 4 flakes.
  • Red chillies - 4.
  • Dhaniya powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Cinnamon - 1 pieces.
  • Clove - 2.
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp -.
  • Curry leaves chopped - 1 tbsp.
  • Coriander leaves chopped - 1 tbsp.
  • oil - 1/4 cup.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Plain Pepper Chicken

  • Clean and cut chicken into medium pieces.
  • Grind separately tomatoes and onion and keep aside.
  • Grind pepper corn, garlic, ginger, dhaniya, into fine paste.
  • Marinate chicken with the ground masala for 45 mins to 1 hr adding salt.
  • Pressure cook the chicken till it is 3/4 cooked.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Season with crushed spices.
  • Add ground onion and saute till golden brown.
  • Add tomato puree and cook till it becomes pulpy.
  • Then add cooked chicken in it and cook till the gravy becomes thick.
  • Garnish with chopped curry and coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with any kind of variety rice or Indian breads.
