Ingredients

  • 1 litre (in volume) - plain unbuttered popcorn.
  • 1/2 cup - rolled oats, dry roasted lightly.
  • 1/2 cup - cornflakes.
  • 1/2 cup - wheat flakes.
  • 15 to 20 - black raisins.
  • 2 to 3 - dried dates (dehydrated).
  • 1 tsp - pine nuts or other nuts of choice.
  • 2 tsp - brown sugar, powdered (or as per taste).
  • 2 pinches - cardamom.
  • 1 tsp - butter unsalted.

How to Make Popcorn with a Difference

  • Run popcorn in an electrical mixie for just 2-3 seconds.
  • It should be broken, not crushed.
  • Heat butter in a large deep vessel.
  • Roast pine nuts for a few seconds, add popcorn, toss.
  • Take off fire, add in all other ingredients, except sugar.
  • Cool mixture to room temperature.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar and mix again.
  • Store in airtight container till served.
