Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 1/2 kg, cubed.
  • Cooked green peas - 1 cup.
  • Onions - 1/2 cup, chopped.
  • tomatoes - 1/2 cup, chopped.
  • green chillies - 2, slit.
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • Cloves - 4.
  • Cinnamon - 2 pieces.
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Besan (gram flour) - 2 tbsp.
  • Salt - to taste.
  • Coriander leaves.

How to Make Potato and green Peas Pattal Bhaji

  • Heat oil in a pan, add cloves and cinnamon.
  • After few seconds, add onion and green chillies. Fry till onions are light brown.
  • Add turmeric powder and tomatoes. Cover and simmer for 2-3 mins or till the tomatoes are soft.
  • Add potatoes, peas, salt and 1.5 cups of water.
  • Mix besan with 1/2 cup water and add to the bhaji.
  • Allow to boil, lower the heat and simmer for 5 mins.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves on top and serve hot with puries or chapattis.
