  • 4 - large potatoes (boiled and mashed).
  • 2 to 3 - green chillies (chopped).
  • 2 cups - gram flour.
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves (finely chopped).
  • 1/6 tsp - garam masala powder.
  • 1/6 tsp - turmeric powder.
  • red chilli powder to taste.
  • oil.
  • salt to taste.

How to Make Potato Bonda

  • Add salt, chilli powder, garam masala, coriander leaves and green chillies to the mashed potato and mix well.
  • Take the gram flour in a bowl, add turmeric powder, salt and chilli powder.
  • Add a little water bit by bit, mixing the ingredients with hand to prepare the batter (neither too thick nor too loose).
  • Make small balls of the potato mixture.
  • Dip the balls in the batter and deep-fry until golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chutney.
