Ingredients

  • 1 cup - channa
  • 1/4 cup - potatoes
  • 1/4 tsp - chaat masala/garam masala powder
  • 1 pinch - chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - green chutney
  • 1 tbsp - dates chutney
  • 1 small - onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped fine
  • 2 tbsps - sev (optional)
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice

How to Make Potato Channa Chaat

  • Soak channa overnight for at least 6 - 8 hours. Pressure cook channa until soft, drain water and keep aside.
  • Pressure cook potatoes for 3 - 4 whistles until soft.
  • Peel the skin and mash it roughly, keep aside.
  • Now in a bowl, add channa and boiled potatoes, combine it with the chaat masala powder, lemon juice, chilli powder, salt, green chutney, dates chutney and mix well.
  • Finally add onions and garnish with coriander leaves and sev on top.
  • You can also add raw chopped tomatoes.
