  • 3-4 - potatoes, boiled
  • 1/2 tsp - saunf
  • 2 cups - cooked rice
  • Oil/Ghee
  • Salt - according to taste.
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • To wet grind:
  • 1 bunch - mint leaves
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 4 to 5 - green chillies
  • 1 - big piece ginger
  • 2 - garlic cloves
  • Coriander leaves

How to Make Potato Masala Rice

  • Chop the boiled potatoes.
  • In a pan, heat some oil/ghee. Add cumin seeds, saunf and the wet masala paste with turmeric powder. Fry till the raw smell vanishes.
  • Add the boiled potatoes and a little water to help the potatoes absorb the masala.
  • Close the pan with a lid and simmer for some time.
  • To the cooked potato masala, add the cooked rice. Mix well and simmer for 1/2 a minute.
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves
