Ingredients

  • Batter - 6 cups
  • Potatoes - 2
  • Onion - 1
  • Green Chilli - 1
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • For Seasoning:
  • Mustard - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves

How to Make Potato Stuffed Idly

  • Heat oil in kadai. Add mustard to it.
  • When it splutters add curry leaves.
  • Add chopped onions and sliced chillies.
  • Saute well and add mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt.
  • Mix well to make a smooth paste so that it makes a good filling.
  • Pour a little batter in Idli plate and place the filling in the centre.
  • Pour some more batter to cover the filling.
  • Steam it and serve with sauce or any side dish of your choice.
