Ingredients

  • 2 slices - bread.
  • 4 - medium sized potatoes.
  • 1 tsp - chaat masala.
  • a pinch - asafoetida.
  • a pinch - turmeric.
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder (optional).
  • salt to taste.
  • oil to fry.

How to Make Potato Vada

  • Boil and mash the potatoes.
  • Dip the bread slices in water. Squeeze the water out and add the bread to the potatoes.
  • Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
  • Make small vadas out of the mixture.
  • Put the vadas in a tawa, add oil and remove when crisp.
  • Serve hot with tomato sauce.
