  • 3 - dry red chillies.
  • 4 flakes - garlic.
  • 1 inch - ginger.
  • 25 - medium prawns.
  • 1 tsp - salt.
  • 1 small ball - tamarind.
  • 1 inch - turmeric.

How to Make Prawn Masala Fry

  • Clean and wash the prawns. Shell them and remove the black vein.
  • Grind dry red chillies, garlic, ginger, tamarind, turmeric and salt.
  • Apply the ground masala to the prawns and let it marinate for an hour.
  • Heat 2 tbsp ghee or oil in a large enough vessel.
  • Put the marinated prawns and its masala and add water.
  • Boil till cooked. Stir and turn the prawns, and boil again till well cooked. Add salt if required.
