Ingredients

  • 500 gms - prawns (shelled, tailed and deveined).
  • 1 large onion, chopped.
  • 3 green chillies, deseeded and chopped.
  • 1 tbsp - ginger, chopped.
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped.
  • 1 large tomato, chopped.
  • 1.5 tsp - red chilli powder.
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder.
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder.
  • 1.5 tsp - turmeric powder.
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice.
  • 4 tbsp - oil.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Prawn Masaledar

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions on low to medium heat until they are transparent.
  • Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
  • Add prawns, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt, cumin powder, turmeric powder and saute for 2 mins.
  • Add 1 cup of water and cook for 2 mins or until prawns are almost done.
  • Add green chillies, ginger and tomatoes and cook for 2 mins.
  • Add water if required to achieve the consistency of gravy required.
  • Finish with lemon juice and garnish with chopped coriander.
