Ingredients

  • 1 Bunch of pudhina(mint).
  • 2 Medium sized tomatoes.
  • 3 Jalapeno peppers.
  • Lemon sized tamarind soaked in water and then take the pulp.
  • 2 tsp of rasam powder.
  • 2 tbsp toor dhal cooked.
  • Salt to taste and little turmeric powder.

How to Make Pudhina Rasam

  • First fry tomato, green chillies and mint in little oil. Keep aside. Then cook the dal in little water and keep aside.
  • Grind the fried mint, chillies and tomato with water or the tamarind pulp. After that add rasam powder, salt, turmeric in to it and boil it.
  • Once it is boiled well add the dal with water and allow it to boil for sometime.
  • Season it with mustard seeds and cumin seeds. This will be very tasty and also good for health.
