  • 300 gms. maida
  • 250 gms. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. oregano powder
  • 3 tbsp. hung curd
  • 1 cup pumpkin pulp
  • 2 pinches salt
  • For the pumpkin pulp:
  • 500 gms. red pumpkin – skinned, seeds removed and cut into very thin small pieces

How to Make Pumpkin Pie

  • To make the pumpkin pulp: Boil the pumpkin in 3 tbsp. water. Cool and blend into a puree
  • Beat the eggs. Blend together the curd, butter, eggs and the pumpkin pulp together in a mixer
  • Blend well so that the mixer is fluffy and smooth
  • Sift together the maida and salt and place in a mixing bowl
  • Slowly mix wet batter and dry batter and blend well to obtain a smooth batter
  • Oil a baking dish and pour this pumpkin cake batter into a baking mould. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees C for about 30 minutes or till a knitting needle when inserted in the centre comes out clean
  • Cut into strips and serve
