Ingredients

  • 1 cup - pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup - almonds
  • Handful - walnuts
  • 1 cup - rolled oats
  • 1 cup - grated jaggery
  • 1/4 tsp - green cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp - ghee or oil
  • A few - nuts to garnish

How to Make Pumpkin seeds halwa

  • Soak all the nuts separately, in lot of water for 6 hrs.
  • Drain and use ice cold water and grind to a smooth paste.
  • Heat a pan with ghee, add the ground nut paste and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 mins
  • Add the jaggery and cardamom, and cook till all the moisture evaporates and becomes dry.
  • Add powdered oats to this, mix well and continue to cook till the mixture dries
  • Do not cook longer else the halwa becomes sticky.
  • Add a tsp of ghee, grease a tray and transfer this and spread it evenly. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours and serve.
