  • 15 slices - white bread
  • 1 litre - milk
  • 1 tbsp - almonds
  • 1 tbsp - plums
  • 5 tbsp - sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp - pista

How to Make Quick Bread Kheer

  • Remove the crust and soak the bread slices in water for 15 minutes.
  • Squeeze the slices to remove the excess water and mash into a pulp.
  • Cut the plums into small pieces.
  • Blanch the almonds and pistas and cut into bits.
  • Dilute 1/2 litre of milk in 1/2 litre of water.
  • Cook the bread mash and sugar in it for some time.
  • Add the almonds, pistas, plums and cardamom powder.
  • Add the other 1/2 litre of milk and bring the mixture to boil.
  • Allow the kheer to cool.
