  • 8 slices - bread
  • 2 - boiled potatoes
  • 1 cup - gram flour
  • Salt (depending upon the taste)
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp - amchur
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 - chopped green chilli
  • A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
  • 1 tbsp - ketchup
  • 1 tbsp - green coriander chutney
  • Water
  • Vegetable oil for frying

How to Make Quick Bread Pakora

  • Preparation for filling mixture:
  • Boil potatoes in microwave or in pressure cooker. Mash potatoes with potato masher or shred it.
  • Add red chilli powder, salt, garam masala, coriander powder, amchur powder, chopped coriander leaves. Mix it well.
  • Take gram flour in a large bowl, add water in it (solution shouldn't be too thick). Add salt, chopped green chillies, asafoetida and red chilli powder in it.
  • Cut the bread slices diagonally (so you have triangles).
  • Take one triangle piece of bread and apply some ketchup on one side and put 1 tsp of potato mixture in it.
  • Take another triangle piece of bread and apply some green chutney and put it on the potato mixture.
  • Put this into the gram flour solution very carefully. Make sure that the triangle does not break off.
  • Heat oil in a heavy pan and fry the triangles until it turns golden brown in colour.
  • Serve it hot with green chutney and tea.
