Ingredients

  • Tomatoes - 3 to 4, big
  • Garlic - 4 to 5
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli - 1, slit in middle
  • Onions - 1 to 2, finely chopped
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Mustard - 1/4 tsp
  • Jeera - 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 8 to 10
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1 bundle, finely chopped
  • Grated coconut - 3 tbsp

How to Make Quick n Easy Tomato Chutney

  • Grind tomatoes without adding water.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard and jeera.
  • Add curry leaves, slit green chilli, garlic and stir.
  • Add chopped onions and fry till transparent.
  • Add tomato puree and stir for 2-3 mins.
  • Add chilli powder, salt and sugar. Cook for 10-15 mins on a low flame, till the raw smell of tomato goes.
  • Add garam masala, stir for 2 mins and remove.
  • Add chopped coriander, coconut and serve hot with chapatti, paratha, etc.
