Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - mutton
  • 2 cups - yoghurt
  • 2 large onions, sliced finely
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 tsp - saffron, soaked in hot milk
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala powder
  • salt to taste
  • Grind Together:
  • 1 medium size onion
  • 8 flakes garlic
  • 1/2" piece ginger
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric
  • 1 tbsp - coriander powder1 tbsp - cumin seed powder
  • 1 tbsp - dessicated coconut
  • 2 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves

How to Make Quick Roghan Gosh

  • Heat the oil, fry the sliced onions until brown.
  • Add the ground spices and fry well for a few minutes.
  • Add meat and salt, stir well.
  • Cover pan, when lid is very hot turn down heat to low and simmer till meat is tender.
  • Add saffron and continue to cook till curry is thick and slightly brown.
