  • 400 gms. chicken
  • 50 gms. onions
  • 50 gms. tomatoes
  • 50 gms. capsicum
  • 50 gms. carrots
  • 200 gms. sugar
  • 80 ml. vinegar
  • 150 ml. tomato sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 50 gms. cornflour
  • A pinch of ajinomotto
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Quick Sweet and Sour Chicken

  • Cut boneless chicken into small pieces.
  • Add cornflour, beaten egg, pepper, salt and ajinomotto. Mix well.
  • Heat oil, deep fry chicken and keep aside.
  • Cut onions, tomato, capsicums, cucumber and carrots into small pieces and keep aside.
  • Make a gravy with tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar and a little water.
  • Add lemon juice and boil gravy for a few minutes.
  • Blend a little cornflour in cold water and add to gravy. Cook till thick.
  • Add chicken pieces and all the vegetables to the hot sauce and serve.
