  • 250 gms - Raagi flour 200 gms - Besan
  • 2 tbsp - Rice flour
  • 250 gms - Onions, sliced
  • 6 Green chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp - Grated ginger
  • 2 tsp - Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1tsp - Chopped curry leaves
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1/2 - inch Cinnamon stick to be powdered coarsely
  • 4 Garlic cloves, crushed roughly
  • 1 tsp - Cashew bits
  • Oil to deep fry
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/8 tsp - Baking soda

How to Make Ragi pindi pakoda

  • Mix all ingredients except oil.
  • Prepare a tight paste with minimum amount of water while kneading.
  • Add a tablespoon of hot oil to give crispiness to the pakoda.
  • Check salt and drop small portions of dough in to hot oil and fry till light golden in color.
  • Remove pakoda on a paper napkin to absorb oil if any.
  • Serve hot as tea time snack with tomato sauce. This is a mouth-watering healthy snack and tastes great especially on a rainy day.
