  • Bread slices - 6
  • For the spread:
  • Mint chutney - 6 tbsp
  • Tomato ketchup - 6 tbsp
  • For the batter:
  • Chick pea flour - 2 cups
  • Soda bicarbonate - 1 pinch
  • Garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder (optional) - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

How to Make Rainbow Sandwich Pakoras

  • Spread 1 tbsp of mint chutney on a slice of bread.
  • Place another slice over it and spread 1 tbsp of tomato ketchup over it.
  • Cover with a third slice.
  • Cut the three layered sandwich into two triangles.
  • You can trim the edges, if desired.
  • Mix the ingredients for the batter in a bowl and add enough water to form a batter of coating consistency.
  • Whisk the batter with the hand for 2-3 minutes to incorporate air into it.
  • Heat oil in a kadhai (wok).
  • Dip each triangle into the batter and deep fry till golden.
  • Drain on a paper towel.
  • Slice each triangle further into two.
