Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Rajma
  • 1 cup - Finely sliced onion
  • 2 - Tomatoes
  • A ball of tamarind
  • 1 tsp - Garam masala
  • 1 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Asafoetida
  • 1 tsp -Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Grated cheese
  • 1 tsp - Chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry.

How to Make Rajma Masala

  • Pressure cook the rajma for 30 mins and keep aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a kadai and saute the onions until pink.
  • Put the tomatoes in boiling water for 10 minutes.
  • Blanch the tomatoes and cut into fine pieces.
  • Add the tomatoes and tamarind juice.
  • Add the garam masala, chilli powder, asafoetida, ginger-garlic paste and salt.
  • Add the rajma and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  • Garnish with grated cheese and chopped coriander leaves.
