Ingredients

  • Sooji - 1 to 1.5 cups
  • Chopped onion - 1
  • Green chillies - 2 to 3, chopped finely
  • Chopped ginger or ginger paste
  • Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Chopped coriander - a small bunch
  • Curd - 1/4 cup
  • Oil - for baking
  • Water
  • Salt

How to Make Rava Thalipeeth

  • Mix the first 8 ingredients together, adding the required amount of salt .
  • Add curd to the above mixture.
  • Add water to this mixture to form a soft dough.
  • Heat a little oil on a pan. Keep on medium heat. Place a small round of the dough on the pan.
  • Dip your hands in water and flatten the dough to form a round disc - like a pancake.
  • Keep some water in a cup to dip your hands, so that the dough does not stick to your hands.
  • Drizzle some oil around, like for a dosa .
  • Cook the other side too till golden brown.
  • Serve with ketchup or achar.
