Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup - rava/sooji
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - rice flour
  • 1/2 cup - maida
  • 1 cup - curd/yogurt plain
  • salt
  • 2- green chilli
  • 1 inch - ginger
  • Asafoetida pinch
  • Curry leaves.
  • 1 or 2 tbsp - coconut
  • 2tbsp - soaked channa dal

How to Make Rava vadai

  • Add curd or yogurt in rava and mix it and soak for 2 to 3 hours for softness. (If you use sour cream, you can make it immediately).
  • Then add rice flour, maida, green chillies, asafoetida, grated ginger, salt, coconut, chopped curry leaves, channa dal and salt in soaked rava.
  • Heat the oil and just drop in like pakodas.
  • When it turns golden brown remove and serve it hot.
