  • 1.5 cup - rava
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • Banana - 1
  • 2 tbsp - grated coconut
  • Kesari powder - a pinch
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 tsp - cardamom powder

How to Make Rawa Appam

  • Soak the rawa in water for 1 hour.
  • Drain the water and put in a mixer.
  • Add banana, sugar and grated coconut in the mixer along with rava and grind it to a paste.
  • The ground appam flour should be like dosa flour consistency.
  • Add cardamom powder, kesar powder to the ground flour and mix well
  • Heat oil in an appam pan.
  • When the oil is hot, pour a small ladle of ground flour.
  • Deep fry the appams and place in a paper towel to drain.
