Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 - red chillies
  • 1 tbsp - tamarind, tightly packed
  • As required - salt
  • 2 tbsp - onion, chopped
  • To temper:
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 3/4 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • Few - curry leaves

How to Make Red chilli chutney

  • Grind red chillies, tamarind and salt with 1/4 cup of water, until very smooth. Transfer to a bowl.
  • Temper with the, ingredients for tempering.
  • Add onion and fry, till golden brown.
  • Mix it to the chutney we ground.
  • Enjoy as an accompaniment with rice or idly.
