  • 1 cup red kidney beans
  • 1” ginger, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tsp. coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 potato, small, boiled and grated
  • 1 tsp. cornflour
  • ½ tsp. red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp. dried mango powder
  • ½ tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1/3 tsp. cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp. green cardamom powder
  • 1/3 tsp. mace powder
  • 1/3 tsp. black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ cup ghee for shallow frying
  • 1 tsp. chaat masala
  • To smoke the kebabs: Mix charcoal, red hot 1 piece, 3 cloves, ½” piece asafoetida, whole ½ tsp. ghee

How to Make Red Kidney Bean Kebabs

  • Drain and rinse the beans thoroughly. Boil the beans with the ginger, garlic and salt, till tender.
  • Drain the water and set the beans aside, till cool. Grind the beans in a blender to make a fine paste. Knead, till well blended.
  • To smoke the kebabs mix, smoke the kebab mix as given on.
  • To cook the kebabs.
  • Grease your hands lightly and divide the kebab mix into 6 equal portions.
  • Shape into balls and flatten them slightly to form round patties.
  • Heat the ghee in a non-stick pan.
  • Shallow fry the patties till they turn golden brown
