Ingredients

  • 8-10 - rotis
  • 1-2 - red onions
  • 5 - green chillies
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - whole mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp - combination of oil/ghee/ butter
  • a little water
  • salt to taste

How to Make Roti upama

  • Heat oil in a frying pan and add cumin seeds, mustard and turmeric powder.
  • When the mustard crackles, add green chillies and onions.
  • Fry it until it turns light brown.
  • Cut the rotis into bite-sized pieces and add the same to the pan.
  • Add red chilli powder and salt and stir it well. Sprinkle some water and close the pan.
  • Cook for a minute.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot.
