Ingredients

  • 1 - egg + 1 yolk
  • 4 cups - flour
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - cream of Tartar
  • 3/4 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp - cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Nutmeg powder
  • 2 tbsp - butter or ghee
  • 1 cup - curd
  • 1/2 cup - rum

How to Make Rum Doughnuts

  • Cream the sugar, egg, yolk and the rum together.
  • Sift in the flour and dry ingredients and melted butter and curd.
  • Knead well.
  • Roll out the dough 1/4-inch thick and cut with doughnut forms.
  • Fry in ghee to a golden brown.
