Ingredients

  • 1 cup - sago
  • 1/2 cup - moong dal
  • 1 - green chilli
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 2 - tsp - grated coconut

How to Make Sabudhana Sundal

  • Dry roast the moong dal and soak in water for 1 hour.
  • Pressure cook the dal for 1 whistle.
  • The dal should not be overcooked
  • Soak the sabudhana in water for 2 hours.
  • Once they become soft, drain and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, add broken chilli, curry leaves and asafoetida and fry for a minute.
  • Now add the cooked dal and mix well
  • To this add sabudhana and salt and mix well
  • Now add grated coconut to the sundal and mix well.
